Security and data

How Sequa handles your data

Everything is kept separately for each workspace and only its members can see it; New Odyssey staff look only to fix a problem you ask about, and each access is recorded. Data is hosted with Render in the United States, mailbox tokens are encrypted, and Anthropic doesn't train on the conversations it drafts from.

What Sequa holds

  • Contacts, companies, deals, tasks and notes.
  • The text of logged emails with your contacts, without the quoted history.
  • Drafts, what was sent, and a short description of how you write.
  • Mail sent to the workspace's BCC address and website form submissions.
  • Mailbox access tokens, encrypted.

How long it’s kept, and how to export or delete it

Data is kept while the workspace exists, and nothing is deleted if a plan ends. An owner or admin can export everything, delete everything held about one person or delete the whole workspace, each recorded in the audit log without the personal data. Disconnecting a mailbox stops Sequa reading it at once.

The full detail is in Sequa’s data export and deletion policy.

Who processes it

Service providers (subprocessors), each on our instructions and only for the purpose shown:

  • Render: hosting, databases and backups, in the United States.
  • Stripe: subscription and license payments (card details go to Stripe, never to us).
  • Resend: sending email.
  • Anthropic: drafting follow-ups and learning how you write.

Questions and security reports

Sequa is run by New Odyssey. To ask what we hold about you, to have it exported or deleted, or to report a security problem, email clio@new-odyssey.com. The privacy policy covers the rest.

Questions buyers ask

What does Sequa read from my mailbox, and does AI train on it?

Every few minutes Sequa reads new mail in a connected mailbox, going back 30 days the first time, and keeps only emails with contacts or people you wrote to, without quoted history. It never moves or deletes anything. Drafts are written with Anthropic's Claude, which doesn't train on your data, and mailbox tokens are encrypted.
